CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DIVISION
| The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division consists of two criminal investigators. Their primary duties are criminal investigations, however they also assume other duties including patrol, court, etc. The Criminal Investigation Division is equipped with the latest technology including digital cameras, laptop computers, evidence collection kits, microwave video and audio surveillance equipment, night vision and other state of the art tools. Training is made available to further aid the investigators in their criminal cases. |

The criminal investigators also work closely with the Arkansas State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Drug Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and other local law enforcement agencies. The division handles a wide variety of criminal cases including, but not limited to the following: Homicide, Suicide, Narcotics, Fraud, Thefts, Burglary, Robbery, Sexual Assaults and other misdemeanor and felony offenses. |
