Arrests Made On Stolen Property

On Sunday, June 25, 2017 the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office and the Trumann Police Department conducted an investigation concerning stolen property. Trumann Officers and Poinsett Deputies traveled to 1804 W. Main Extended in Trumann Sunday morning and located a stolen 2007 Dodge pick-up truck that had been stolen from Greene County. The stolen truck had a license plate attached to it that had been stolen from Brookland. Hooked to the truck was a 2010 Alumacraft boat and trailer that had been stolen from Jonesboro.

Heather Wilbanks (DOB 1-22-93) had been sitting in the stolen truck when officers arrived. Upon searching the truck, suspected methamphetamine and a syringe were found. Wilbanks told the officers that Trevor Lung (DOB 9-4-93) had been driving the truck and that he was located inside the residence. After speaking to one of the residents of the house it was learned that Lung, a parolee, was inside the residence. Lung was located hiding inside a closet in the house. When he was ordered out of the closet a syringe fell from his person. Both Wilbanks and Lung were arrested and transported to the Poinsett County Detention Center.

Heather Wilbanks was arrested for Theft by Receiving less than $25,000 but more than $5,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Judge Mike Smith set a $50,000 bond on Wilbanks. Trevor Lung was arrested for Theft by receiving less than $25,000 but more than $5,000, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Judge Mike Smith set a $100,000 bond on Lung. Both were ordered to appear in Poinsett County Circuit Court on July 26, 2017 at 9:00 am.

The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident with Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
