On Thursday February 01, 2018 at approximately 5:50 pm the Poinsett County Sheriff Department was notified by a local therapist of statements made by two juvenile clients involving potential sexual misconduct with an adult.  Based on this information, investigators with the Poinsett County Sheriff Department were able to partner with an investigator from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division and representatives from DHS.  Investigators were able to use the information provided to them to identify and arrest Kenneth Thomas, 40, of Trumann for two counts of Rape. Additional charges are expected.  Mr.  Thomas is currently being housed at the Poinsett County Detention Center on a half million dollar cash only bond.
