Absconder and 3 Other People Arrested in Marked Tree 

On April 16, 2018, the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a property owner that he had people in and out of his residence located at 505 8th Street in Marked Tree. The house is used as rental property for the complainant. The complainant said that he had evicted the previous occupants approximately 2 months ago and the house should have been vacant. 

After an investigation was conducted by our deputies, it was determined that a male parole absconder and a female were staying in the house. It was believed that the residence was being used a “drug house”. Members of the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office went to the house at approximately 5:45 pm. Bobby Cleveland Bennett and Gloria Ann Russell were found inside the residence. They were arrested and transported to the Poinsett County Detention Center. 

Bobby Cleveland Bennett, 46, of Marked Tree is charged with Residential Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bennett is also on Parole in Conway and listed as an absconder.

Gloria Ann Russell, 22, of Marked Tree is charged with Residential Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On April 17, 2018 at approximately 3:30 am, we received a call that two people were seen inside the same residence and damaging it. A deputy responded and found Walker and Dixon inside the residence. This incident is currently under investigation to determine what type of damage was done to the residence. The following people were arrested and transported to the Poinsett County Detention Center. 

Brittany M. Walker, 24, of Tyronza is charged with Residential Burglary and Criminal Trespass.

Jacob Dixon, 27, of Marked Tree is charged with Residential Burglary and Criminal Trespass.
