It has come to our attention that someone is calling citizens and representing themselves as named deputies from the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office. The unknown person has identified themselves as Lt. Brad Felkins and claims that they are calling over a missed court date. They continue to state that there is a warrant for the persons arrest for missing court. They are impersonating a law enforcement officer with the intention of separating you from your money. This is a scam. Please immediately hang up. The Poinsett County Sheriff’s will never contact you by phone asking for money. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
