The Poinsett County Sheriff 's Office accepts applications daily for Deputy Sheriff, Detention Officer, Communications Officer and other non-sworn personnel. 1. Each application must be filled out in it's entirety, along with a copy of your birth certificate, and a copy of your high school diploma or GED. 
2. The background release form must be signed and notarized. 
3. A comprehensive background investigation will be performed prior to an offer of employment. 
4. Each applicant must also pass a physical and psychological examination.
